Prof Bert Losken

Professor of Plastic Surgery

Dr Losken is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University Hospital. He earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and completed his training at Emory. He specializes in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery as well as abdominal wall reconstruction. He has a busy clinical practice and he is devoted to his patients and to advancing techniques and technology to improve outcomes. He is a member of local and national plastic surgery societies and is a speaker at numerous breast surgery meetings. His contributions to the field include more than 200 scientific articles and numerous book chapters focusing on breast and abdominal wall reconstruction.

Dr. Papadopoulos is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable authorities on aesthetic surgery and a leading educator in the field. He is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Notre Dame and serves as Visiting Professor for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Dr Papadopoulos is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a member of many medical societies including the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the Aesthetic Society (USA) serving on numerous committees. She trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand and obtained her specialisation fellowship through the College of Plastic Surgeons of South Africa. Dr Isabel do Vale spent 5 years working as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital treating both adults and children across the spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr Hlombe Makuluma

Hlombe is a qualified general medical practitioner with a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Pretoria. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the health industry from operating his own private practice and working for various corporates to health consulting. At EthiQal, he provides medico-legal advice on various issues affecting the doctor, from general advice through to claims, complaints and notifications. He is the interface between the doctor and legal and risk management processes. When not busy with work-related matters, he explores various mountain bike trails with his mountain bike. He has finished a couple of Cape Cycle Tours and 94.7 Cycle Challenges.
